Congratulations are due to our ISSA friend and Executive Vice President Jim Costalos who has been duly re-elected as Chairman of the Australian Ship Suppliers & Services Association (ASSA) at their AGM in Hobart.
This is a momentous time for Jim who is currently celebrating 50 years in the ship supply industry. Well done to Jim and ISSA looks forward to working with him and his colleagues in Australia.
In a speech to the ASSA AGM, read out to the membership by Jim Costalos, ISSA President Rafael Fernandez paid tribute to the work of ASSA.
He told members: “The Australian Ship Suppliers & Services Association has always been a strong supporter of the work of ISSA, and I would personally like to thank Jim and his team for all the help and support they have given me.
“This is very important because as a creditable ISSA Assembly member, you aptly demonstrate how a National Association can work effectively with national entities as well as the wider global shipping industry, through ISSA, in protecting the role of the ship supplier,” he stressed.
