July 23, 2026

On 15th July 2026, at Hotel Dimora, Thiruvananthapuram, Ajay Joseph – Founder & Director, Global Marine Supply Co. (GMSC), and Associate Members’ Representative to ISSA, stood before Kerala’s Chief Minister to receive one of the maritime industry’s most prestigious honours.

This wasn’t just an award — it was recognition of hard work and dedication.

Kerala has a coastline stretching over 650 kilometres, making it one of India’s most strategically important maritime regions.

Global Marine Supply Co. successfully delivered emergency ship supply and marine support services to vessels at Vizhinjam and Cochin, ensuring uninterrupted operations when urgent assistance was required.

That commitment didn’t go unnoticed. The Honourable Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri V.D. Satheesan who also holds charge of Port Developments personally presented the award, under the fitting theme ‘Ocean Mission, Opportunity Mission’.

The event also highlighted a bigger vision — the Chief Minister’s plan to develop Vizhinjam Port into a major international hub, just like Jebel Ali and Singapore Port. With Kerala already home to the largest shipping and transport network in the country, and Vizhinjam’s channel opening directly onto international shipping lanes, the opportunities ahead for India’s maritime supply industry are massive.

As Vizhinjam Port moves towards becoming a world-class international transshipment hub, Global Marine Supply Co. remains committed to supporting this transformation with dependable emergency ship supply and marine services.

The Global Ship Supply Excellence Award is not only a recognition of GMSC’s achievements over the past 29 years but also an inspiration to continue contributing to Kerala’s and India’s growing maritime future.
